2025 Coaches Meeting for the Rec Season

This year we are doing it a bit different. We are having two different meetings times. Plan on attending a session. If you cant make it at the starting time please try to still attend. We have lots of time this year not going to rush. No teams or bags are will be distributed at this time. Assistant coaches are always welcome and encouraged to attend

10 AM-1 PM

U10 and younger. (NEW coaches in that group)

We may not use all that time but we don’t want to rush and allow for as many questions as needed. We will also cover the GotSport requirements as well.

Returning coaches we also ask you attend

1PM – 3PM or later

U12-U18 (NEW coaches in the group)

Returning coaches we also ask you attend.

We will cover Kingman SC and game rules, referee expectations, parent behavior , coach expectations and US Soccer guidance and zero tolerance policies. We will also try to assist with training expectations and guidance where we can.

Monday 8/4

5PM-8PM All ages

Additional meeting time for coaches that could not make it on Saturday.

This 2023 season the KYSL board has chosen to remove some of the heated rhetoric surrounding the recreation soccer league. Our REC league is designed to have any child build a healthy love for soccer. We bring in all skill levels and provide the level playing field in all age divisions. While there is a needed competition component this is not a high competition travel tournament environment. We are careful to provide our players with a supportive game and practice structure. The recreation league is not a must win at all cost endeavor.

KYSL will be providing medals this year to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams based on their league play standings and the awarded points based on the game records.

We will not have a playoff game structure this year. This still allows for competition and recognizing the effort that players and coaches invest.

Rec League Closing Ceremonies

Nov 4th from 9-11AM we encourage all top three teams attend in their uniforms to be awarded their medals. This will provide for family and friends to get photos of the players as a team as well. This will also show players they are rewarded for their hard work and effort throughout the season.

This will also serve as a drop off for all coaches to return their league provided bags for use again next season. Coaches may also drop off the bags at the last game of the season to the KYSL tent. Please make sure you are notated of the returned bag.

Parking will be a challenge Friday evening. We have our ceremonies as well as the Charity Softball Tournament. Centennial Park will be in full use for resident and visitors.Kingman Academy Middle school had gratefully granted us an exception to park in their lot as overflow. We are grateful for the assistance. Please be courteous. Players need to be there around 5:30-545PM to find their team and line up. Please try to be early. Ceremonies will begin PROMPTLY at 6PM.

Coaches – Immediate Field Limitation

For all practices this week 9/5-9/7 and 9/11-9/14 the U12 field is off limits and not to be used.

This limitation is for the actual lined field. We need to let the grass catch up and the field to catch up.There are additional areas for practice. Please be aware we are limited in space at this time due to multiple different sports use of the park. Coaches be aware that many teams are trying to find space and be considerate with the limited space. Field 4 (softball) is available for use after 530
